Looked at implicit differentiation while tutoring today.
We looked at some problems involving implicit differentiation.
The derivatives you take earlier on are technically explicit differentiation.
For implicit differentiation you will generally see dy/dx more than once and need to factor. Then you can divide both sides by everything that is not dy/dx if that’s what you’re finding.
Keep the chain rule in mind as well, it should be done by default but in the case of dx/dx doesn’t necessarily need to be written down.
